Nous avons consacré ce vendredi aux visites touristiques en commençant par  le site de Jellhaug près de Sarpsborg. Nous y trouvons des gravures de bateau Viking dans la roche ainsi que des monticules sous lesquels, un peu comme dans les pyramides d'Egypte, les rois étaient enterrés.

We devoted this Friday to sightseeing, starting with the Jellhaug site near Sarpsborg. There we can see Viking ships engraved in the rocks as well as mounds under which, much like the pyramids of Egypt, kings were buried.

 

Puis nous nous sommes rendu à Halden pour visiter la forteresse datant de 1666.

We then rode to Halden to visit the fortress dating 1666.

       Bonne chance à l'ennemi pour enfoncer la porte!  

       You not gonna kick that door in so easily!

Sur le chemin du retour, nous avons passé par Fredrikstad et sa vieille ville . Il est à noter que la ville était défendue par un système de douves 

On the way back we went through Fredrikstad and its old town. It is to be noted that the town was secured by several moats.
